Oscar´s Grind | Online Roulette

Oscar´s Grind is a system that aims to grind out profits during mini sessions or plays. Essentially, you break your time at the table into smaller chunks of time during which you try and grind out a small profit. If you can repeat the success over multiple mini sessions, you build a more substantial positive balance. That´s the theory, anyway. Here´s how it works:

You start by setting up a value for an Oscar Grind unit. This can be 1 or any other number within the betting limits of the table, depending how you want to manage your risk.

You hit the table for your first mini session by betting as follows: bet your Unit on an even money bet (eg red or black). If you win, that is the end of your mini session. Start again. If you lose, you continue to bet the same amount until you win, at which point your increase your bet by 1. Then you continue at the same level until you recoup your losses and end up at least one unit ahead. Every time you win, you nudge your bet up by one. When you are one ahead, this marks the end of the mini session.

Let´s look at an example:

Bet No. Bet Amount
ResultBankroll
1 1 Loss
-1
2 1 Loss
-2
3 1 Loss
-3
4 1 Win
-2
5 2 Win
0
6 3 Loss
-3
7 3 Loss
-6
8 4 Win
-3
9 4 Win
+1

In this example, the player wins 4 out of 9 spins hands - - but ends up with a one unit gain.

Oscar´s Grind come up trumps when you enjoy a change of fortune (ie you were suffering a losing streak at the beginning and enjoyed a sunny streak at the end. Since the mini sessions always end when you are ahead, the system is designed to cut things short when the situation is the other way around. Also, the bets don´t ramp up as aggressively as the Martingale, so you should be able to keep the pulse rate down a bit.

However, if you suffer a run of multiple losing streaks punctuated by a few wins, you are going to be hopelessly chasing losses. It´s best to set a stop loss limit- if you hit that number, bail out. Don´t carry on regardless.
