Fibonacci System | Online Roulette

There is a well known (well in mathmatical circles anyway) number sequence called the Fibonacci, which is often used as a betting system in roulette. Here we discuss how to play the Fibonacci at roulette and whether it´s any good.

So here´s the mathmatics lesson. Put your pens down! A Fibonacci sequence is a sequence of numbers in which you can deduce every number in the progression by adding up the preceding two numbers.

OK, egg heads. Let´s start our Fibonacci progression off with the number 3. The sequence would run as follows:

3, 3, 6, 9, 15, 24, 39, 65, etc etc

You can use a Fibonacci Sequence as your method of progressing your bets when playing roulette. Much as you increase your bets when you lose (to cover your losses) in the Martingale, you ramp up your bets along a Fibonacci progression when playing this particular form of negative progression system.

When you win, you skip back to the start of the sequence: the idea being that you cover your losses and slowly build your winnings.

Fibonacci vs Martingale
On the plus side for the Fibonacci camp, the bet progression does not ramp up as quickly as the more famous sister system, The Martingale. Whereas you double your bet on the Martingale every time that youl lose, in The Fibonacci your keep your risk lower. Also, you are less likely to run into problems with table limits which always restrict you on progression systems (the longer your losing streak, the more likely that you will hit the betting ceiling that will prevent your from completing the progression).

BUT, you will not recoup the full total of your losses with this betting system. You are merely trying to dampen down any downside you suffer due to a losing streak in the hope that you will ride your luck on winning streaks, and bank your profit at the right time (ie leave the table!).

As we say with all systems, The Fibonacci comes with a heath warning. NO system will alter the odds of the table in your favour. What it can do, is to provide you with a sytematic way of managing your bankroll. Always set a stop loss limit and a target to leave the table if you are up by a certain amount. If you overstay your welcome at the table you are going to hit the wall: ie the point where you cannot complete your Fibonacci sequence due to table limits. Set your First numbers in the sequence low if you want to manage your down and employ the "Hit and Run" tactic so effectively used by that famous Australian High Roller gambler Kerry Packer: get in there, make a killing and get out fast!
